Its Dec 8th 2024

We got hit with an incrediable amount of snow last week adding up to almost 3 feet, then it rained for almost three days and now it has frooze over night! A grader loudy goes buy as it drags its snow blade on the ice dirt road in the early morning dark all lite right up with bright lights in a dark world! It leaves behind a little bit off comfort in a lonely part of the world so far out in the woods reminding me I am not alone!

The wood fire crackles next me as I write this and I have left overs from a shepards pie I made the night before warming up on top of the woodstove in a cast iron pan. It brings me small amount of comfort knowing I am not wasting any energy to warm up my lunch!

Its a cold frosty morning and I watch the squirrels running around on top of the snow loving the hard crust from the rain!

Since I started crocheting I feel like I found myself just a little bit again, I learned how to crochet using youtube and it has been all self taught, Mostly every thing I do has been self taught!

My daughters high school donated two bags of yarn for me to pracitise with and I have used up most of it making this stunning Flower granny square 2024 blanket that will be a specially gift to my mother!

Finishing this project after working on it for almost 6 months gave me a huge sense of self worth again!

I would never know how to put a price on this project! But maybe thats because its made with love, love for myself and love for person who gets to feel warm and cozy with this blanket!

Now I am off to a new project that was a request from a specially lady, see if i can pull it off for here, a cigarette blanket!
