An old heavy handmade wooden door squeaks as you open it to the main door of the cabin that walks you into a tiny boot room, it then enters into a cabin just big enough for a family of three! Its
Nov 16th so the number of boots and clothes are growing in the boot room as the seasons change, this time of year we pull out the extra layers for winter. As I walk into the cabin coming back in from feeding the horses a trail of hay falls from my cloths, Thank god for the tiny boot room where I can strip off the outside clothes as I enter the cabin! I can keep the mess minimal this way!
My desk is tucked into a corner of the cabin and I am blessed to be parked next to the heat of a woodstove that creeks and cracks, it adds a comfort feeling knowing winter hibernation is around the corner and I get to work on writing and creating my blog!
Winter can be such a beautiful time of year to take photos as well so my favorite thing to do is grab my snow shoes and head out into the mountains. This time of year its not so scary for bears, hopefully the grizzlies are looking for their bed for winter soon!

BC also has some beautiful old growth forests to explore!
The cabin itself is surrounded buy some large spruce and pine trees that make the cabin feel even more comfy, specially at night under the northern lights, listening to wolves howling! Its so magical!

the cabin needs a lot of work, But it was cheap so we were able to buy land and make it work for us.
No well, which means we have to haul water for the cabin and the homestead all year long.
We have a fully functional kitchen/washer/shower plumbed into a grey water system.
Which also means , you guest it! We use an outhouse 365 days a year!
A well at 790 meters above sea level is no easy task in Pinchi Lake!
But we love our cabin, its home and we have it set up just right after 8 years here!
its tiny but its full of LOVE!
Its loud and chaotic sometimes with teenagers in and out, but our hearts are full!
